Bootmaking Workshop

In this workshop you will craft a pair of boots in the style of your choice. I recommend starting with zip-up ankle boots if you are new to bootmaking, but you could also create knee high boots, cowboy boots etc. using either a zip-up, lace-up or pull-up design. You will find this workshop particularly useful if you struggle with finding comfy shoes, as the boots will be a customised fit. 

This workshop is split over two days to allow enough time to create a mock-up to adjust the fit (boots require a very close fit in order to function) and then craft a finished pair of boots. 

Time each day:

11am-4pm

Please note that this workshop is intended for those with some experience of shoemaking. If you are a beginner, I suggest starting with my Shoemaking Workshop. 

Bootmaking requires a lot of measurements and a certain amount of trial and error during the process to produce the perfect fit, so I would not recommend attempting to make boots for someone else unless you can bring them to the workshop to try bits on as you go! 

Please note that there are additional material costs for this workshop (£8-£30 depending on the type of boot you choose to make). Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Since this workshop is aimed at those with some experience of shoemaking, it assumes that you already have a pair of lasts customised as necessary to fit you. 

Full information about what you will need to bring will be sent to attendees before the workshop and I will support you with finding the right materials. 

Terms and Conditions

1. If you wish to cancel your place on the workshop, please let me know as soon as possible. A full refund will only be given if a minimum of 7 days notice is given prior to the workshop date. 
2. If I am forced to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund within 48 hours. 
3. For health and safety reasons, all workshop participants must be at least 16 years old. Any participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
